Eocycle’s flagship EO25 direct drive wind turbine has achieved three significant new certifications, supporting the company’s expansion in several markets.

On the heels of the highly successful launch of its second generation wind turbines, Eocycle is pleased to announce the closing of $1.6 million of new financing. The completion of this offering takes the combined form of a loan from Investissement Québec (the financial arm of the Government of Québec) and a grant from the Ministry of Economy, Science and Innovation in Québec.

On Thursday, October 20th, Eocycle was awarded 1st place in the Innovation category at the Inventing the World of Tomorrow competition.

Eocycle has achieved an important milestone in the launch of its next generation turbines. The EO25 wind turbine has obtained a certified power curve in accordance with the IEC 61400-12-1:2005 standard. The results are impressive. The new wind turbine provides a 65% increase in energy production over the similar model from the previous generation. No other small wind turbine in the market can match its efficiency. At 6 m/s, the turbine has a certified capacity factor of 44%, resulting in an annual production of more than 87,000 kWh.

Eocycle Technologies Inc., designer and manufacturer of the innovative EOCYCLE 25 wind turbine, successfully completed its first installation in Denmark/Europe last September. The innovative Eocycle wind turbine is the only one of its size providing direct-drive and variable-speed technology, thereby making it possible to modulate the energy yield according to local requirements.

Iroquois, Ontario, Canada Wednesday 1st April 2015 – Orenda Energy Solutions, the Iroquois-based turbine manufacturer for the global medium distributed wind industry, has announced that it has licensed its proprietary ‘tilting tower’ technology to a fellow Montreal–based wind turbine company, Eocycle Technologies Inc.

Last October Eocycle Technologies participated in a trade mission to China directed by Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard. This visit will enable Eocycle to expand its relationship with domestic businesses in order to diversify and reinforce the quality of its international supply chain, in addition to initiating discussions with a number of partners for the transfer of patented technologies in the country.
